Description
Black Spoons, also known as Kaalo Haath Kora, are traditional handcrafted spoons made in Bengal, a region in the eastern part of India. These spoons are made from a special type of wood known as “neem” wood, which is known for its durability and anti-bacterial properties.
The process of making Black Spoons is a labor of love and requires great skill and patience. The artisans who make these spoons are known as “Kaarigars” and they have mastered the art of handcrafting these spoons over generations.
The first step in making Black Spoons is to select the right type of neem wood. The wood is carefully chosen based on its quality and texture. Once the wood is selected, it is cut into small pieces and then shaped into the desired spoon shape using traditional hand tools like chisels and hammers.
